THE UBUNTU ATTITUDE

Capitalism has taught us survival for the fittest . That what is mine should be mine and mine alone

That’s why you see industry spoiling the environment, people are being taken advantage of and there are constant war all over the world and strangely enough even disagreement between family members.

We are all pulling at our side , looking for advantage over the rest and forgetting the people who surround us also need support and love.

I also was in same boat until I come across this amazing article from south Africa. This article changed my point of view. Read it too

“A foreign man come to a village, looking for born Athletics in Africa. He saw a group of kids playing together and he decided to place fruits in a few distance, from where the kids where playing . His intentions was to find the fastest among the kids, expecting them to race for the fruits. He greeted them and he told the kids that there were fruits (pointing at a direction)and the first one will take as many as he or she wanted.

The kids hold hands and run together until the said destination, they sat together in a circle and share the fruits together. The foreigner was amazed and asked why they held hand and run together rather than every one could run on their own and take the reward. One of the kids said ” I am because we are and we are because I am”.

We are all interdependent. We all exist because ,we all exist as one. The power of working and doing things together is known as UBUNTU .”I exist because we exist”

So let’s build safer community, let’s grow together . So when you lift someone up you also raise yourself up.
